LITTLE DREAMS

Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started at eight, growing up in Siracusa, Sicily, where light, space, and everyday beauty naturally invited observation. I began with my father’s Kodak Etra 200, a small window into a world waiting to be noticed. Since then, photography has become my way of listening to people, capturing fleeting emotions, and preserving those quiet, honest moments that make a story truly yours.

Approach

My path has taken me through many places and disciplines, from biological studies to social themes, driven by a fascination with anthropology and the relationship between humans and their environment. Yet through it all, the camera has remained my constant friend: a place where intuition meets presence, where emotions are held gently, where the subtle stories of people and the world around them can unfold without needing explanation.

I’ve been photographing weddings since 2014, and what continues to move me is the trust people place in me. Being welcomed into such intimate moments is something I approach with care and gratitude, never taking it for granted. I’m drawn to what is real and unscripted: a quiet glance, a spontaneous laugh, the warmth of an embrace. These are the moments that endure.

Alongside wedding storytelling, my work extends into documentary photography, where I explore visual narratives connected to culture, memory, and human relationships. I’m interested in how individual experiences reflect broader social and emotional landscapes, and how everyday moments can reveal deeper truths about the world we inhabit.

My documentary practice is rooted in observation and listening. I spend time within spaces and communities, allowing stories to emerge slowly and organically. Rather than seeking spectacle, I focus on subtle gestures, quiet interactions, and the in-between moments that carry meaning beyond the visible.

Some of my photographs have been published in international outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, contributing to visual narratives that bridge the personal and the collective.

For me, photography is more than an image: it’s a way of being present. It’s about slowing down, noticing what often goes unseen, and creating photographs that feel honest, gentle, and lasting. Through my work, I aim to preserve fragments of reality that speak to memory, connection, and the shared human experience.

Photography allows me to reflect, to take notes, trying to make sense of chaotic thoughts that dwell in and consume the mind.

Photography is listening. It is birth. It is rebirth. It is falling in love.

It is living in the “here and now.”

It is about capturing situations—most often unexpected—that suggest hypothetical scenarios capable of stimulating both individual and collective memory.

My work stems from observing the places and the people who inhabit them, from a curiosity about the daily relationships that shape belonging, resistance, and change. Through long-term documentary projects, I strive to tell stories beyond stereotypes, conveying complexity, dignity, and a plurality of perspectives.

My photography favors natural light and an essential visual language, where human presence engages in dialogue with architectural and cultural spaces. Each image arises from listening, from staying and building relationships with people and places, rather than from fleeting observation.

For me, photography is a tool for understanding and bearing witness: a way to create open narratives that invite reflection on social transformations and on each individual’s capacity to redefine their role in the world.
